Since it is supposed to rain all week I wanted to get the grass mowed on #1 like a buzz cut, hope it will help with the ticks. (I've been treated for Lyme disease and ticks are the one insect that makes me squeamish). Deer decomposing just off property in the back by the raspberries is all skeleton now and nearly exposed antlers. P did a good job with he lime and compost, glad the flies have left too. Afraid our family of woodchucks is in danger also, hope not because I love them and they eat dandelions, have lots of video of their incredible family behaviour. It is illegal to shoot them but I hear alot of hots at night, lots of problem creatures, could be someone taking an illegal turkey or doe for that matter, it happens....(see deer in back lot, actually you probably don't want to see it...) The fruit trees are all in flower and Disney like with petal fall. Cut back a hedge worth of forycythia and keep transplanting everywherre. P & Tom trimmed alot of trees to regain the view of what we can from our own property, just shifted to the left. Blue's slopes are just disappearing. The cut branches will have to be cut into wood, quite a bit! Garden ready to be harrowed, already rhubarb, strawberries blooming, raspberries are going to be full crop. The rain and snow made everything lush, cleaned all dead leaves from out the rest of the canals, looks beautiful when it rains and creates temporary rivers, feeds the blueberry bushes, couple of new Rose of Sharon, too. Daffodils, crocuses long gone,Lily of the Valley and Hosta everywhere, so far the tulips are safe, bleeding heart gone wild, forget me nots, johnny jump ups, lambs ears, lilies and iris happening, Columbine, clematis, sedum, pointella, poppies, peonies. Trimmed all the cedar and white pine, and no surprise more boxwood was revealed, I did my first topiary. Took a picture to send to Brenna, compare to Tavern on the Green, ha, ok, BED!
